Schedule Highlights
The Braves will begin the season with three exhibition matches, including a visit from former Missouri Valley Conference rival Creighton at Shea Stadium on August 16. Bradley will open the regular season with back-to-back road games in Wisconsin against power conference opponents. Their season opener will take place in Milwaukee against the Marquette Golden Eagles, who finished 4-3-2 in 2024 and placed fourth in the Midwest Division of the Big East. Bradley's only previous match against Marquette occurred 31 years ago, in 1993.
Against the Wisconsin Badgers, Bradley has played twice before, with both matches ending in draws, the most recent being a 1-1 result in 2023. Wisconsin concluded the 2024 season with a 7-5-3 record and finished 10th in the Big Ten. The Wisconsin ties with Bradley doesn't end there as last season the Braves hired former Wisconsin head coach John Trask as the Braves Special Assistant to the Head Coach and Recruiting Cordinator. Trask coached the Badgers from 2010-2021.
Fans won't have to wait long for Bradley's home opener, as the Braves will host the Milwaukee Panthers on August 28. This marks the midpoint of a stretch in which BU plays four of its first five games on the road. The final two games of that stretch will include a matchup with longtime rival Western Illinois. The Braves hold a 19-12-4 lifetime record against the Leathernecks. That match will be followed by a trip to Fort Wayne to face the Mastodons. Last season, Bradley earned wins over both Western Illinois and Fort Wayne in Peoria.
BU will play three additional non-conference games before beginning Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) play. These include home matches against Omaha and Millikin, followed by another trip to Wisconsin to face the Green Bay Phoenix. The game against Millikin is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. and will be Bradley's annual "Kids Day" event.
As MVC play begins, the Braves will host in-state rival UIC on September 27. In early October, BU will face Northern Illinois and DePaul, then hit the road for games against Bowling Green and UCF, leading up to their homecoming match against Western Michigan on October 18. Bradley will conclude the 2025 regular season with three games between October 24 and November 5, including road games against Evansville and Drake. The Braves' final home game of the season will be against the Belmont Bruins.
