CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – Bradley Women's Golf ranked 16th out of over 250 NCAA Division I women's golf programs for the WGCA Women's Golf All-Scholar Team GPA award, per a release from the Women's Golf Coaches Association on Wednesday.
The award recognizes the program with the highest collective average team GPA which includes all the team's student-athletes for the 2024-25 season.
The Braves registered a 3.882 GPA for the 2024-25 season, the highest cumulative team grade point average in program history. Bradley's 16th-place ranking is the highest in program history, surpassing the 17th-place ranking from the 2023-24 season.
The program's ranking comes after a program-record-setting six Braves earned WGCA All-American Scholar honors on Monday, June 30.
Maria Perakis,
Allison Pacocha,
Jillian Cosler,
Brooke Deebs,
Peyton Coburn and
Caroline McConnell all earned recognition from the WGCA for their academic achievements during the 2024-25 season.
Perakis earned her fourth consecutive honor, Pacocha earned her third consecutive nomination and Cosler earned the honor for the second time. Deebs, Coburn and McConnell earned All-American Scholar honors for the first time in their career.
The Braves have had at least four WGCA All-American Scholars each of the past seven years and nine of the last 10 seasons.
The 2024-25 WGCA All-American Scholar Team saw 1,499 women's collegiate golfers from 403 programs recognized with this prestigious honor. To qualify, athletes must have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher and play in 50% of the college's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year through the team's conference championship.
Perakis, a biochemistry major with a 4.0 cumulative grade point average, averaged 76.90 strokes over 29 rounds played during her senior season, ranking third on the team. She finished the season with two finishes within the top 20, including a top 10 finish at the Bradley Coyote Creek Classic. Perakis finished her Bradley career ranked fourth all-time in rounds played (116) and third all-time in rounds in the 70s or better (95). This is Perakis' second academic award of the season, earning All-Missouri Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete First Team honors in April.
Pacocha, an accounting major with a 4.0 cumulative grade point average, ranked second on the team in stroke average at 76.17 strokes per round during the season. She notched a career-best two top 10 finishes during the season and finished within the top 20 four times. She enters her senior season leading all active golfers in rounds played (87) and rounds in the 70s or better (70). This is Pacocha's second academic award of the season, earning All-Missouri Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete First Team honors in April.
Cosler, a learning behavioral specialist, ESL endorsement major with a 4.0 cumulative grade point average, led the team in stroke average during the 2024-25 season, averaging 75.75 strokes per round. Cosler won her first two tournament individual titles of her career, winning the Bradley Coyote Creek Classic in October 2024 and the MVC Women's Golf Championship in April 2025. This is Cosler's third academic award of the season, winning The Valley's Elite 18 Award for Women's Golf and earning All-MVC Scholar-Athlete First Team honors in April.
Deebs, a political science major with a 3.68 cumulative grade point average, posted her best season as a Brave, averaging 77.58 strokes over 19 rounds played. She recorded her first career top 10 finish at the Bradley Coyote Creek Classic, finishing tied for eighth. Deebs also set new career highs in rounds played (19) and rounds in the 70s (15) during the season.
Coburn, a sports communication major with a 4.0 cumulative grade point average, had a standout freshman season for the Braves, averaging 76.88 strokes over 17 rounds played. Coburn finished second after a three-hole playoff at the Bradley Coyote Creek Classic and finished tied for 10th at her first MVC Championship. Coburn also finished in the top 20 at the Johnie Imes Invitational, finishing tied for 18th.
McConnell, an accounting major with a 4.0 cumulative grade point average, averaged 77.07 strokes per round over 28 rounds played after joining the Braves as a transfer from Michigan State before the season. She won her first career tournament individual title in her Bradley debut, winning the A-Ga-Ming Invitational. McConnell registered three finishes within the top 20 in each of the next three meets, finishing no lower than 15th to begin her season. This is McConnell's second academic award of the season, earning All-Missouri Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete Second Team honors in April.
Bradley's six WGCA All-American Scholars pushed the program's total to 63 honorees over the last 16 seasons.
