PEORIA, Ill. -- Bradley University women's golf athlete Caroline McConnell has been named this week's Busey Bank Scholar-Athlete of the Week, announced Tuesday. McConnell was honored after finishing in third place for the second time this season at the Badger Invitational in Wisconsin on Sept. 14-16.

The senior from South Fayette, Pennsylvania, placed tied for third in the Braves' second tournament of the season. McConnell began the tournament with a career-low 68 in round one and finished with a score of 209, the second-lowest in program history. The performance earned McConnell her second Missouri Valley Conference Golfer of the Week honor of the season on Sept. 19. 

McConnell's strong performance and academic success have earned her this week's Busey Bank Scholar-Athlete honor.
