PEORIA, Ill. -- Bradley University women's basketball athlete
Tamia Perryman has been named this week's Busey Bank Scholar-Athlete of the Week, announced Tuesday. Perryman was honored after averaging 19 points per game in Bradley's conference victories over Valparaiso and Indiana State.
The graduate student from Indianapolis, Indiana, scored 18 points on an efficient seven-for-11 from the field at Valparaiso on Jan. 8. Perryman followed by scoring a Bradley-career-best 20 points against Indiana State on Jan. 11. Perryman shot seven-for-12 from the field and set numerous Bradley career highs, including made three-pointers (five), assists (five) and blocks (three).
Perryman's strong performance and academic success have earned her this week's Busey Bank Scholar-Athlete honor.
