PEORIA, Ill. -- Freshman Maya Foz of the women's basketball team is the December Prairie Farms Bradley Athlete of the Month, earning the honor after a fan vote.

Foz started in all five of Bradley's games during the month and scored in double figures in four of the five contests. Foz averaged 13.4 points per game during December while shooting 46.3 percent from the field, headlined by scoring a then-career-high 19 points against Chicago State on Dec. 7. Foz earned three straight Missouri Valley Conference Freshman of the Week honors during the month and has won four straight awards to date.

Foz earned the Prairie Farms Athlete of the Month accolade after a fan vote on the school's X account. She collected 53.3 percent of the vote to beat out Julia Brown of the track & field team (27.8 percent), Jaquan Johnson of the men's basketball team (11.1 percent) and Montana Wheeler of the men's basketball team (7.8 percent).
