PEORIA, Ill. -- Junior Robert Sanford of the baseball team is the March Prairie Farms Bradley Athlete of the Month, earning the honor after a fan vote.

Sanford pitched 15 innings across six appearances, including two starts, during the month of March. In his first start as a Brave, Sanford struck out a career-high 11 batters with just one walk and two runs allowed in five innings pitched against Indiana State. In total, Sanford allowed two runs or fewer in four of his six pitching appearances in March.

Sanford earned the Prairie Farms Athlete of the Month accolade after a fan vote on the school's X account. He collected 47.2 percent of the vote to beat out Austin Comstock of the softball team (37.7 percent), Kierston McCoy of the softball team (13.2 percent) and Ann Hsieh of the tennis team (1.9 percent).
