Bradley is set to renew its longstanding series against Western Illinois on Wednesday night. All-time, the Braves lead the series 20-11-4, including a 10-7-2 advantage in Peoria. Bradley has owned the series in recent years, earning a draw or better in seven straight meetings before the Leathernecks broke through last season, defeating Bradley in Macomb in 2025.

Bradley's scoring offense has been much better at home this season, albeit in a smaller sample size. The Braves' seven goals in two home matches are the most by the program since 2014, while their five-goal outburst against Green Bay was the program's highest-scoring performance since 2015 against Evansville. Bradley had five different goal scorers against Green Bay, while senior forward Mitch Coughlon and freshman midfielder Liam Healey continue to impress. The duo both rank in the top four in the MVC in total goals scored this season. Overall, Bradley boasts eight of the top 10 goal scorers in the MVC.

The Western Illinois Leathernecks
Western Illinois enters Wednesday night's contest with a 2-1-0 record, earning victories over Quincy, 3-2, and UIS, 4-0. The Leathernecks' lone loss came against DePaul, 3-1, in Chicago. On the field, WIU will look to build on its consistent scoring, having found the back of the net in every game so far this season. Junior midfielder George Frost has been particularly dangerous, already recording four goals on the season, which places him tied for second in the NCAA in total goals. The Leathernecks are coached by Kooten Johnson, who is in his first season at the helm of the WIU program. Johnson previously served as the head coach at Monmouth and as an assistant coach at Western Illinois.
