QUOTING HIS COACH
"Erik has been part of the Sporting Iowa pathway for over decade. I was fortunate enough to work with Erik over the last three years, when he captained his team to three State Cup titles. Erik instantly struck me as a selfless leader, a player who demands the highest standards for himself and his teammates. His leadership style consists of many varying attributes, making him extremely effective in maximizing his peers' potential. Leading by example on the field through his relentless work rate and fierce competitive nature, Erik simultaneously maintains the ability to show compassion and empathy toward his fellow players.
"Regardless of the occasion, Erik always looks for avenues to grow and learn. He embraced a growth mindset toward all challenges that were thrown his way.
