CAREER BESTS & RESULTS


2020-21 SEASON
Outdoor: Earned his first career individual All-Missouri Valley Conference accolades, placing third in the 800m at the conference meet in 1:50.09 • Qualified for the NCAA West Preliminary in the 800m for the second time in his career, finishing sixth in his heat in 1:50.63 • Registered the second-best time in school history in the event, clocking a time of 1:49.89 at Illinois State • Helped set the school standard in the 4x800 relay with a time of 7:21.91 at Drake • Also finished fifth in the 4x400 relay at the MVC Championship – the fifth-best time in school history.


2019-20 SEASON
Cross Country: Did not run during the cross country season.
 
Indoor: Member of the distance medley relay team that finished fourth at the MVC Championship • Posted a season-best time of 1:53.65 in the 800m run at the GVSU Big Meet • Also competed in the mile during the season with a time of 4:28.48 at Iowa.


2018-19 SEASON
Cross Country: Competed in four meets during the 2018 campaign • Placed ninth at the WIU Early Bird Invite with a 6K time of 19:56.5 • Clocked a career-best 8K mark of 26:31.3 at the Bradley Pink Classic.
 
Indoor: Advanced to the finals of the 800m run at the MVC Championship, placing eighth overall • Ran the third-best time in school history in the event, crossing the finish line in 1:51.59 at Notre Dame • Also posted a season-best time of 1:22.74 in the 600m.
 
Outdoor: Advanced to the NCAA First Round in the 800m run, recording a time of 1:51.77 in his NCAA debut • Finished a career-best fourth at the MVC Championship in the event • Ran at the Bryan Clay Invitational in 1:50.40 – the second-fastest 800m in school history • Also earned all-conference honors for the first time in his career in the 4x400 relay as the Braves set a school record in 3:16.49 and placed third at the MVC Championship.


2017-18 SEASON
Cross Country: Ran in five meets during the 2018 campaign • Clocked a career-best 8K time of 26:46.37 at the EIU Walt Crawford Open.
 
Indoor: Recorded the third-fastest time in school history in both the 600m and 800m during the season • Finished first both times he ran the 600m with a PR time of 1:22.24 at the Gladstein Invitational • Posted a career-best time of 1:52.45 in the 800m at the GVSU Big Meet • Placed fifth at the MVC Championship in the 800m for his first career points at a conference championship.
 
Outdoor: Placed fourth in the 800m run at the Missouri Valley Conference Championship • Clocked the second-best time in school history in the event with a mark of 1:50.61 at the Bryan Clay Invitational • Also ran the 1,500m in California with a PR of 3:50.56 – the ninth-best time in BU’s record book.


2016-17 SEASON
Cross Country: Did not compete during the cross country season.
 
Indoor: Did not compete during the indoor season.
 
Outdoor: Competed in the 800m run throughout the outdoor season • Clocked a personal-best time of 2:00.93 at the Illinois Twilight.


2015-16 SEASON
Cross Country: Sat out the 2015 cross country season.
 
Indoor: Part of a fifth-place distance medley relay team at the MVC Indoor Championship, which clocked the second-best time in school history • Ran in the 800m and mile during the indoor season, posting the fourth-best 800m time (1:55.62) in school history at the Meyo Invitational.
 
Outdoor: Did not compete during the outdoor season.


HIGH SCHOOL
Two-time all-state performer in cross country • Three-time team MVP in cross country and first-team all-county • Claimed individual conference titles in cross country his junior and senior years • Three-time first-team all-conference • Won an individual state sectional title as a senior and helped his school to back-to-back sectional team championships • Finished 10th at the state championship as a senior • On the track, he swept the 800 and 1,600 meter county titles his final two prep seasons • Took third at the indoor state championship in the 1,600 meters as a senior • Placed seventh in the state in both the 1,600 and 3,200 meters during the 2015 outdoor season • Also lettered in soccer.


PERSONAL
The son of Steve and Linda Seymour, Scott was born in Kenosha, Wis. • Four siblings: Allison, James, Daniel and Anna • Majoring in accounting • His father Steve played soccer at Wisconsin-Whitewater.
