Bradley Athletic Director's Honor Roll: Fall 2008, Spring 2009

Overview: Played third base her first three seasons, but will likely be the Braves starter at first base this spring ... Enters her final season on The Hilltop as Bradley's active career leader in doubles (12), walks (28) and fielding assists (187) ... Could also see time in the lineup at designated player ... Needs three home runs and 12 base on balls to break into Bradley's career top 10 in both categories.

Hayes on Bachkora: "Alycia will be a huge part of our success this season.  Both on and off the field she carries herself with great pride and invests completely in everything she does.  She is a great mentor for our younger players."

2008 Season (Junior): Led the team in base on balls and boasted a team-high .378 on base percentage ... Ranked second on the squad with a .282 batting average and finished the year with five doubles and three home runs ... Had a seven-game hit streak midway through the season, going 10-for-18 during that stretch ... Hit safely in 10 of the final 15 games she appeared in and reached base in all but two of her last 15 appearances ... Boasted a team-best .350 batting average against lefties ... Tied for the team lead with six sacrifice hits ... Led the team in fielding assists for the second consecutive year, finishing with 56.

2007 Season (Sophomore):  Played in 47 games, starting in each at third base ... Hit .172 with seven doubles, a triple, three home runs, and 12 RBI ... Went 3-for-4 with a career-high nine total bases Feb. 24 in a win over IUPUI ... The nine total bases equaled a team-high for an individual on the year ... Had seven multi-hit games ... Led the team with 108 fielding assists ... Recorded a double and a home run in a victory over Belmont ... Drove in a pair of runs at Illinois-Chicago.

2006 Season (Freshman):  Played in 15 games with 12 starts to her credit ... Drew seven base on balls and had a .270 on base percentage, despite finishing the year with an .071 batting average ... Boasted a .943 fielding percentage ... Collected her first career hit in the Braves victory against North Florida, beating out a two-out infield single to drive in what proved to be the game-winning run ... Also had a single in Bradley's win against Georgia State ... Knocked in the first run of the team's 4-1 victory against IUPUI with a sacrifice fly.

High School: Hit .469 and had a .689 slugging percentage as a senior and earned Defensive Player of the Year honors in addition to capturing all-district, all-conference, all-region and all-metro honors as a senior ... Was also selected for the Missouri All-Star Team following her final prep season ... A four-year starter at first base, she hit .509 with an .856 slugging percentage as a junior, taking home Offensive Player of the Year honors ... Earned all-district, all-conference, all-region and all-metro honors as a junior.

Personal: The daughter of Patricia and Charles Bachkora, Alycia was born March 6, 1987 in Kansas City, Mo. ... One of three children, she has an older brother, Christopher (25), and a younger sister, Jessica (21) ... Her brother Christopher played baseball at Saint Louis and her sister is a junior on the softball team at Arkansas ... Majoring in cell and molecular biology ... Named to the Bradley Athletic Director's Honor Roll in each of her first seven semesters at BU.
