2011 Season (Senior): Named a Second-Team Capital One Academic All-American, marking the first time a BU softball player earned the honor since 1995 ... First-Team All-Missouri Valley Conference and First-Team MVC Scholar-Athlete ... Voted First-Team Academic All-District V ... Selected as the team MVP for the second consecutive year ... Also earned the team's best offensive and defensive player award ... Finalist for the Orsborn award ... Led the team with a .351 batting average and her 61 hits tied for the eighth best season total in school history ... Led the MVC with seven triples ... Hit .400 in MVC play ... Paced the team in doubles, slugging percentage, on base percentage, sacrifice hits and stolen bases ... Had an impressive 14 outfield assists, including six at the plate ... Her .324 career batting average is the 10th best in school history and closed her career tied for sixth at BU with 10 career triples ... Finished her collegiate career ninth in school history with a .445 slugging percentage and her .368 career on base percentage is also ninth ... Had an 11-game hit streak late in the season and hit .434 over the final 15 games of her career ... Ranked second on the team with 24 RBI and her 14 stolen bases were the most by a BU player since 2004.   

2010 Season (Junior): Voted the team's Most Valuable Player ... Made a big impact in her first season, emerging as the Braves starting center fielder ... Had her season cut short by an injury ... Ranked second on the team with 18 RBI and was fourth in hits, runs at bats and batting average ... Hit safely in 12 of her first 15 games, which included an eight-game hit streak ... Belted a team-leading three triples ... Led the team with 10 RBI in Missouri Valley Conference play ... Her eight-game hit streak was tied for the best on the team and she tied for second on the squad with 10 multi-hit games.

Kankakee Community College: A Junior College All-American as a freshman, she was a two-time all-region selection and preseason All-American as a sophomore ... hit .369 with 19 doubles and 30 RBI during her sophomore season ... Helped the Cavaliers to a 46-11 record and fourth-place finish in the NJCAA Division II National Tournament in 2009 ... Boasted a .443 batting average as a freshman and was a First-Team All-American in 2008.

High School: Named team MVP her senior season after hitting .485 ... Also earned all-conference honors ... A three-sport athlete, she also lettered in basketball and was a state qualifier in the three-point shooting contest her senior year ... Was selected as team MVP in volleyball and basketball her senior year, while also capturing all-conference honors in basketball.

Personal: The daughter of John and Barb Fairbairn, Brittany was born in Downers Grove, Ill. ... Has three siblings: Tyler, John and Lindsey ... Majoring in elementary education ... Named to the Bradley Athletic Director's Honor Roll following all four of her semesters on The Hilltop.
