Celebrity Golfer: Jim Les

Celebrity Golfer: Jim Les

Opening Bid: $300  Minimum Raise $50

Voted one of the 15 greatest players in Bradley Basketball history, Jim Les is enjoying a successful run as the 12th men’s basketball in program history.  Under Les’ direction, the Braves have recorded consecutive 22-win seasons for the first time since 1959 and 1960.  Following the historic run to the 2006 NCAA Tournament Sweet 16, Les overhauled Bradley’s offensive attack last offseason to match his players’ talents and the Braves responded by ranking among the nation’s leaders in 3-point shooting and advancing to the second round of the 2007 MasterCard National Invitation Tournament.  The 1986 Frances Pomeroy Naismith Award winner as the nation’s best player less than 6-feet tall, Les was the point guard for one of the most magical seasons in Bradley Basketball history.  The 1985-86 Braves posted a 32-3 final record, advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament and remain the last team to go undefeated (16-0) during the Missouri Valley Conference regular season race.  Les went on to enjoy a seven-year playing career in the NBA and was the runner up in the AT&T Long Distance Shootout during the 1992 NBA All-Star Weekend.  He is now preparing for his sixth season as Bradley’s head coach.
