Celebrity Golfer: Daniel Ruffin

Celebrity Golfer: Daniel Ruffin

Opening Bid: $300  Minimum Raise $50

Preparing for his senior season, Daniel Ruffin will go down as one of the best point guards in Bradley Basketball history.  A candidate for the 2007 Bob  Cousy Point Guard of the Year Award, the 5-foot-10 Ruffin is expected to be a candidate for the award again this year, as well as for the Frances Pomeroy Naismith Award as the nation's top player less than 6-feet tall.  A second-team All-Missouri Valley Conference choice in 2007, Ruffin has deftly directed the Braves to consecutive postseason appearances and the first consecutive 22-win campaigns since 1959 and 1960.  He will enter his senior season second among the nation's active players with 475 career assists, and by averaging 13.8 points per game last season, he joins teammate Jeremy Crouch (also 13.8) as the top returning scorer in The Valley.  By helping the Braves to the 2006 NCAA Tournament Sweet 16, Ruffin kept alive an impressive Bradley Basketball tradition:  he is the third son of a former Brave to play basketball at Bradley and one member of the three father-son combinations now have reached at least the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament.

To make a bid for Daniel Ruffin to join your group during the 2007 Braves Club Golf Outing, email Nikki Cole (ncole@bradley.edu).  Please make your subject "Celebrity Golf Bid" and include Daniel's name and your bid amount in the text.  Only registered participants in the 2007 Braves Club Golf Outing may bid on a Celebrity Golfer.  The Braves Club staff will confirm the receipt of your bid and will notify you of any raises.  Bidding will remain open until 3 p.m. on May 30, 2007.
