  • The intensity is based upon energy systems used during competition
    • During any sporting activity the body utilizes energy from three systems:
      • ATP/PC (short term) system
      • Glycolytic (intermediate term) system
      • Aerobic (long term) system
    • The primary system that is trained is dependent upon the place within the annual training plan.

There is no substitute for the specificity of a respective athlete's actual practice and competition
