Bradley Baseball and Bradley Softball are seeking pledges to support the capital campaign for an indoor hitting facility, which would become the first Bradley-owned facility specific to baseball and softball.
Â
Located at Shea Stadium, the 4,800-square-foot, turfed facility would provide hitting and pitching space with 3-to-4 cages, storage for pitching machines, mounds and nets, as well as on-site restrooms. Â The building will be heated for winter use and vented for warmer weather, while a garage door entry will allow for ease of equipment movement to-and-from the facility.
Â
An indoor facility in close proximity to campus with exclusive use by Bradley Baseball and Bradley Softball would create a competitive advantage for both programs, while also eliminating recurring rental expenses for the use of multiple facilities across Peoria.
Â
This capital campaign requires $500,000 in funding before construction will begin. To make a pledge or find out how else you can get involved, please contact Brian Lavin, Bradley University Director of Athletic Development, at (309) 677-3946 or
