Holly Kinney is a senior nursing student at Bradley University. Here at Bradley, Holly is a member of the Bradley Nursing Student Association, she currently works as a Supervisor at Markin Family Student Recreation Center and has for the past 3.5 years, and she has been working as a Student Admissions Representative for the Admissions office since 2020. Additionally, Holly has participated in undergraduate research with Bradley’s Biology Department and had writing published in the COM 103 textbook. In the summer of 2021, Holly had an internship in the Emergency Department at OSF Saint Francis. At the conclusion of the internship, Holly was awarded the Summer Nurse Intern Excellence Award and began working part time as an Emergency Department Technician. In November, Holly accepted a registered nurse position in the Emergency Department at OSF Saint Francis that she will begin upon graduation. Holly is excited to hit the ground running as a bedside nurse in a level 1 trauma center and learn new things every single day. In the future, Holly would like to get certified as a trauma nurse, and possibly obtain a master’s degree in order to earn a leadership position or become a clinical instructor.
