2019-20 SEASON
Cross Country: Missouri Valley Conference Athlete of the Year • Also earned NCAA All-Midwest Region and All-MVC honors for the fourth time during his career – becoming the first Brave to accomplish either feat in all four of his seasons on campus • Became the first Brave in school history to win two individual titles at the Missouri Valley Conference Championship, crossing the finish line in 24:46.1 and more than 15 seconds ahead of the league’s runner-up • Overall, led Bradley to a record-tying fifth-straight MVC Championship as the Braves set a modern-day conference record with 17 points at the title meet • Overcame an injury to lead Bradley at the NCAA Midwest Regional, placing 25th overall • Led BU in all five of the meets he competed at during the season • Earned MVC Cross Country Athlete of the Week honors after each of his three regular-season races • Won the Bradley Intercollegiate with a time of 25:06.1 – 23 seconds ahead of the runner-up • Finished 28th at Notre Dame’s Joe Piane Invitational and 59th at the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational.
 
Indoor: Earned All-MVC honors on the track in the 5,000m run, finishing second at the conference championship with a time of 14:28.91 • Clocked the 10th-fastest mile in school history at the Meyo Invitational, posting a mark of 4:12.62 • Also ran the 3,000m at the GVSU Big Meet in 8:25.44.


2018-19 SEASON
Cross Country: Earned NCAA All-Midwest Region honors and All-Missouri Valley Conference accolades for the third-straight season • Became the first Brave in school history to earn all-region honors for a third time, while becoming the fourth Brave to collect all-conference accolades for a third time • Placed ninth at the MVC Championship with a career-best time of 24:33.5 – the eight-fastest in school history – as Bradley won its fourth-straight conference crown • Finished 18th at the NCAA Midwest Regional as the Braves secured the program’s first automatic bid to the NCAA Championship with a second-place team finish • Clocked a time of 31:06.0 at the NCAA Championship, placing 156th at the national meet for the second-straight season • Team’s top finisher a the Bradley Pink Classic, placing seventh overall.
 
Indoor: Named to the All-Valley Team for the first time during his career during the indoor season after placing third at the conference meet in the 5,000m run • Also scored in the 3,000m at the MVC Championship with a fourth-place finish in the 3,000m run • Clocked the second-best time in school history in the 5,000m run, crossing the finish line in 14:13.39 at Iowa State • Also set his PR in the 3,000m run at Notre Dame in 8:11.15 – the fifth-best time in school history.
 
Outdoor: Earned all-conference honors in the 10,000m run for the second-straight season, placing third at the MVC Championship • Also finished fourth in the 5,000m at the conference meet • Tallied the second-fastest 10,000m in school history, crossing the finish line in 29:24.74 at the Raleigh Relays • Finished 34th overall in the NCAA Semifinals in the event with a mark of 29:56.07 • Set his PR in the 1,500m run at the Illini Twilight (3:54.52).


2017-18 SEASON
Cross Country: Missouri Valley Conference Athlete of the Year • Also earned NCAA All-Midwest Region and All-MVC honors • Became the first Bradley man to win the individual Missouri Valley Conference Championship in 52 years, joining Rod Collins in 1965 as the only two Braves to cross the finish line in first place • Tied for the second-best finish in school history by a Brave at the NCAA Midwest Regional, finishing ninth • Earned one of four at-large invitations to the NCAA Championship, placing 156th of 254 runners at the national meet • Named MVC Athlete of the Week honors after finishing first at the Bradley Intercollegiate • Posted a season-best time of 24:34.1 at the Bradley Pink Classic – the eight-best mark in school history • Overall, placed in the top-15 four times in his six races during the year, finishing as either the first or second Brave all six times.
 
Indoor: Placed sixth in the 5,000m run at the MVC Championship in his only running of the event during the year, clocking a time of 14:54.86 • Also finished 12th in the 3,000m run at the conference meet, while registering a season-best time of 8:25.22 at the Gladstein Invitational.
 
Outdoor: Earned all-conference honors in the 10,000m run at the Missouri Valley Conference Championship, placing second • Also scored in the 5,000m at the conference meet, finishing seventh • Set the school record in the 3,000m run with a time of 8:29.60 at the Musco Twilight • Posted season-best times of 14:47.37 in the 5,000m and 30:14.75 in the 10,000m.


2016-17 SEASON
Cross Country: Earned Missouri Valley Conference Freshman of the Year accolades as well as All-MVC honors • Named to the NCAA All-Midwest Region Team, becoming the first Bradley rookie to collect the honor • Helped lead the Braves to their most successful season in school history, setting a number of freshman records • Placed third at the MVC Championship, the best finish by a BU rookie (previous record was ninth) • Also finished 16th at the NCAA Midwest Regional – the second-best time by a rookie at the meet and the best placement by a Brave freshman by 27 spots (previous record was 43rd) • His time of 30:43.4 at the regional was the third-fastest 10K time in school history • Posted the second-best time by a Brave at the Pre-National Invitational, placing 42nd overall and fifth among rookies.
 
Indoor: Scored for the Braves in both the 3,000m and 5,000m runs at the MVC Championship, placing fourth in both events • Recorded a PR in the 5,000m run at the Meyo Invitational with a mark of 14:24.10 – the fourth-best time in school history • Also ranks sixth in the BU record book in the 3,000m run after posting a time of 8:15.33 at the Iowa State Classic • Set a career-best time of 4:16.51 in the mile run at the Illini Classic.
 
Outdoor: Named to the All-Missouri Valley Conference in the 5,000m run • NCAA West Preliminary qualifier in the 10,000m run • Placed third in the 5,000m run at the MVC Championship to earn the all-conference accolades, while also finishing seventh in the 10,000m run • Completed the second-fastest 10,000m run in school history at the Mt. SAC Relays, clocking a time of 29:35.06 to earn his preliminary bid • Set a PR in the 5,000m run at the Drake Relays with a time of 14:08.54 – the third-quickest mark in BU history • Also ran the 1,500m in 3:55.18 at Southern Illinois.


2015-16 SEASON
Redshirt season.


HIGH SCHOOL
Won the IHSA Class 2A individual state title in cross country as a senior, while helping Yorkville to back-to-back state championships • Three-time all-state performer in cross country, finishing in the top 15 at the state championship each of his final three prep seasons • Placed third in state as a junior and 15th as a sophomore • Also was a two-time all-state performer in track • Took fifth in the state in both the 1,600 meters and 3,200 meters as a senior.


PERSONAL
Son of Kelly and Mark Hoffert • Three siblings – Nick, Marissa and twin brother, Luke • Luke was also a member of the Bradley cross country and track teams • Majoring in manufacturing engineering.
