Began the season with a first-place finish in the mile at the Jimmy Grant Invite, running 4:11.21. Finished sixth in his 800m run at the Meyo Invitational, running a 1:51.11. Set the second-fastest 800m time in program history at the GVSU Big Meet, clocking a second-place-finishing 1:48.68. Qualified for the 800m and mile MVC Championship races, placing fifth in the 800m Final and securing All-MVC honors with a second-place finish in the Mile Final. Outdoor: Competed in seven meets during the 2025 outdoor season. Began the outdoor season with a first-place finish in the 800m race at the WashU Distance Carnival. Placed third in his 800m section (1:50.74) and won his 1500m section (3:48.27) at the Stanford Invitational. Ran a then-school-record setting 1:48.64 in the 800m at the Virginia Challenge, placing seventh. Won the 800m event at the Drake Relays after running a 1:49.02. Qualified for the 800m and 1500m Finals at the MVC Championship for the second consecutive year. Indoor: Competed in seven meets during the 2024 indoor season. Won the mile with a 4:15.96 in his collegiate track & field debut at the John Coughlin Invite. Placed first in the 600m race at the IUPUI Invitational with a 1:21.10, the third-fastest time in program history. Placed fifth in his 800m race at the Meyo Invitational, clocking in at 1:51.15 for a season best - a time that ranked as the second-fastest in program history when ran. Outdoor: Competed in five meets during the 2024 outdoor season. Finished third in the 800m event at the SLU Billiken Invite with a 1:52.79. His best 800m run of the season came at the Drake Relays, where he clocked in at 1:50.90 and finished fifth. Was a member of the Distance Medley Relay team that broke a 35+ year program record (9:43.65) at the Drake Relays, running the third leg. Qualified for the 800m and 1500m Finals at the MVC Championship, finishing eighth and 12th, respectively. HIGH SCHOOL Ran Cross Country and Track and Field for Fort Zumwalt West High School in O'Fallon, Missouri. Earned eight All-Conference awards, eight All-District selections, six All-Sectional honors and five All-State awards. Holds four program records at Fort Zumwalt West. Helped Fort Zumwalt West qualify for the Missouri State Cross Country Championships and earn 4x800m medals in track & field. PERSONAL The son of Michael and Erin Copelin, born on April 29, 2004 in O'Fallon. Has three siblings: Justine (29), Elaina (27) and Cameron (16). Cousin played basketball for Grand Canyon University and Indiana State. Majoring in Construction Management.
