Senior (2012-13): Ran a season-best 8K of 26:35 at the Illinois Intercollegiates … Was the team’s top finisher at the Illini Open, placing 11th with a time of 27:18 … His career-best 3,000 meter steeplechase time of 9:48.66 at the MVC Outdoor Championship ranked eighth in program history … Also competed in the 1,500 meters and 2,000 meter steeplechase in his final season. 

Junior (2011-12): Joined Jon Richards as the only individuals to place in the team's top five in all six meets ... Finished sixth at the Bradley Open to start the year after a career-best 6K time of 20:18 ... Followed it up with a career-best 8K of 25:42 at the Illinois Intercollegiates to finish 33rd.

Sophomore (2010-11): Clocked a season-best 8K time of 27:54 at the Illinois Intercollegiates ... Was second on the team at the Illini Open.

Freshman (2009-10): Ran a season-best 8K time of 28:25 at the Bradley Open.

Prep Overview: Earned 10 varsity letters in three different sports (cross country, basketball, track and field) at Marquette (Ill.) High School ... Was an all-state performer and conference champion in cross country ... Helped the Crusaders' cross country team finish in the top-15 at state three times ... Qualified for the state track meet in both the 4x800M and 1,600M ... Member of the high honor roll and top-10 in his class.

Personal: The son of Erik and Laurie Skromme ... Mother played softball at Augustana College ... Majoring in mechanical engineering.
