High School: Lettered in four sports and earned all-state honors in three different sports (Basketball, track & softball) … Part of state championship teams in both track (2015) and softball (2017 & 2018) … Named Mississippi Athletic Conference Player of the Year in basketball as a senior … Three-time all-state performer in basketball … Named Quad-City Times 2018 Female Athlete of the Year … Pleasant Valley’s all-time leading scorer with 1,372 career points during her prep career and ranks among the top five in school history in career rebounds … Helped the Spartans to three conference titles and four regional finals in basketball … Averaged 16 points and 7.3 rebounds per game as a junior … Finished her softball career with a 92-16 career record, picking up the victory in the 2018 state championship game in a three-hit shutout and also drove in two runs ... Part of four state championship relay teams … Also lettered in volleyball.
 
Personal: The daughter of Jim and Julie Spelhaug, Ellie was born in Davenport, Iowa … Has three siblings: Lexi (23), Ryan (21) and Carli (17) … Majoring in biomedical science (veterinary science) … Her mother Julie played basketball and softball at St. Ambrose and her older sister Lexi played both sports at Simpson College … Her brother Ryan is a member of the football team at Northwest Missouri State.
