AT BRADLEY (2012-)
Started the first two games of the 2012 season as a true freshman and remained part of Bradley's defensive alignment for 18 games last year.

AT ST. MARY'S HIGH SCHOOL
A four-year varsity starter and four-time first-team all-league selection, Morales was a first-team all-state pick in 2011 after earning honorable mention all-state honors in 2009 and 2010 ... Played in the All-City all-star game in each of his final three years ... Led St. Mary's to a progression of state tournament runs that began with a "Sweet 16" appearance in 2008, continued with a semifinal appearance in 2009 and culminated with a state championship in 2010.

CLUB SOCCER
Plays for the Colorado Rush and has served as his team's captain since 2010 ... Also was a member of the Colorado ODP state team from 2008-10 and was selected for the ODP Regional team in 2010.

PERSONAL
The son of Joe and Karen Morales, Joe Jr. was born Dec. 9, 1993 ... Majoring in biochemistry, Morales earned a spot on the Bradley Athletic Director's Honor Roll in each of his first two semesters and won Bradley University's 2013 Outstanding First-Year Student Award ... Also considered attending Georgetown, Air Force and Davidson.
