A standout midfielder at Cheshire Academy, Boyd earned all-state or all-star honors in 2009 from the Western New England Prep School Soccer Association, New England Prep School Soccer Association, Connecticut State Soccer Coaches Association and the National Soccer Coaches Association of America ... The team captain, Boyd was voted team most valuable player after recording 19 points on five goals and nine assists, and he earned the Evans Family Spirit Award in the spring of 2010 ... Boyd also played No. 3 singles on the Cheshire Academy boys tennis team.

Playing locally for the Premier Elite Samba TTP club soccer program, Boyd also has been nominated to participate in the People to People Sports Ambassador program each of the last four years ...
