AT BRADLEY (2019-21)
•  One of 13 newcomers in the Bradley recruiting class of 2019,  Smidtslund joined the Braves after fulfilling his military service commitment in his native Finland.
•  Will enter the 2022 season as Bradley's active leader in career games played (47) and started (45)
•  Played in 18 of Bradley's 19 games in 2019, including 16 as a starting defender.
•  Transitioned into an attacking midfield position as a sophomore and was the only field player to start all 11 games for the Braves during the 2020-21 season, leading the team with three goals.
•  His first two collegiate points came by assisting game-winning goals in consecutive games to end the 2019 regular-season, Nov. 4 at Western Illinois and Nov. 9 against Evansville.
•  Scored the game-winning goal in Bradley's 2021 MVC Tournament win at SIU Edwardsville.

HIGH SCHOOL
•    Participated in the ISF World Schools Championship in Prague in 2017.

CLUB SOCCER
2015 - Käpylän Pallo U17 - 25 games played, 1 goal
2016 - Käpylän Pallo U17 - 25 games played, 3 goals - 2016 U17 Finnish national championship
2017 - HIFK U20 - 3rd place in the 2017 U20 Finnish national championship
2018 - Played for several club teams throughout the year, including Laajasalon Pallo and Tikkurilan Palloseura, totalling 21 games

PERSONAL
•  The son of Jan-Erik Smidtslund and Leena Kähkönen, Rasmus was born Dec. 6, 1999 in Helsinki.
•  With his major to be determined, Smidtslund's academic interests include physics, business and social studies.
•  His family has enjoyed success in a diverse arena of sporting competition: Godmother (mother's cousin) won a silver medal with the Finnish National Team at the 2003 Women's Ultimate World Championships, Godfather (uncle) competed in several professional sailing competitions from 2006-10 and his father played soccer in the Finnish Second Division in the early '90s as well as one year of indoor soccer in California.
