He also earned All-Area Team honors from both the Daily Herald and Kane County Chronicle the last two years. During those two seasons, Ward recorded 17.5 shutouts in 42 games with a 0.99 goals against average. Ward also plays club soccer for Strikers FC. Quoting Ryan Ward"I chose Bradley Soccer, not only for its great reputation on the field, but its high standards in the classroom as well. Bradley University will be a perfect fit for me." Quoting Ryan Estabrook, Geneva High School Boys Soccer Coach"Ryan is a goalkeeper who is very consistent and he is also capable of making the great save. Bradley is getting not only a very gifted athlete, but a strong team leader with excellent character." Quoting Jim DeRose, Bradley University Soccer Head Coach"We're excited to add Ryan to our recruiting class. Ryan is a fantastic two-sport (soccer, wrestling) athlete, but because of his success in both sports at the high school level, he was unable to concentrate full-time on soccer. He possesses great competitiveness and athleticism and we believe once immersed full-time in a Division I training scheme, Ryan will bolster our goalkeeping corps next year and into the future."
