Cody Roskens

A 2019 graduate of AHSTW High School in Avoca, IA, Roskens enrolled at Bradley University, where he pursued an undergraduate degree in Sports Communications with a minor in Journalism. Upon arriving on campus, he became involved with Bradley’s “Braves Vision,” a student organization that produces ESPN+ broadcasts of Bradley home athletic events, where he worked as a play-by-play broadcaster. He also joined the Bradley men’s basketball team as a freshman student manager, a role he held through graduation. During his undergraduate years, Roskens worked with the local sports broadcasting company Clutch Sports Media, contributing to broadcasts of local high school and prep school athletics.

In the fall of 2022, during his final semester at Bradley, Roskens took on a more formal role within the BU Athletic Department as an athletic department intern. Near the end of his internship, he was officially hired in December 2022 as the Assistant Director of Athletic Communications. He currently serves in that role within the Bradley Athletic Department, overseeing athletic communications for men’s soccer and men’s basketball, while also coordinating Bradley’s ESPN+ television schedule and the Bradley Athletic Student Internship Program. In his free time, Roskens continues to broadcast sports for leagues such as USL2 and USLW, and also helps run summer regionals for The Basketball Tournament (TBT).
