Biography

Overview:
Transfered to Bradley after one season at the University of St. Francis (Joliet, Ill.) ... Ranked as one of the Braves top hitters in 2004 seeing the bulk of her action in the lineup as the designated player ... Also saw playing time at first and third base ... Expected to primarily fill the designated player slot but will also provide the Braves with depth at the corner infield positions.

2004 Season (Junior):
Started 53 of 56 games she played in with 32 of those occuring as the designated player ... Saw 13 starts at first base and eight at third base ... Ranked fourth on the team with a .284 batting average and was one of three players on the team with at least 20 RBI, finishing the year with 20 runs batted in ... Had 12 games with two or more hits and collected multiple RBI in four games ... Hit safely in 14 of her first 16 games of the year, including a team-best eight-game consecutive ... Owned a .333 batting average against non-conference opponents ... Drew a career-best three walks and scored five runs, while going 1-for-2 in the season-opening rout of Jackson State ... Had two seperate 3-for-4 performances.

2003 Season (Sophomore):
Used primarily as a pinch hitter and at designated player, she hit .109 in 32 games in her first season at Bradley ... Drove in five runs on the year ... Owned a .167 batting average in conference play ... Hit her first home run as a Brave against Wichita State, smacking a first-inning grand slam in the BU’s 5-0 victory against the Shockers.

2002 Season (Freshman at St. Francis):
Hit .311 with 10 doubles, one triple and two home runs ... Played third base for the Saints ... Started 60 games and ranked second on the team with 35 RBI and a .405 slugging percentage ... Named to the NAIA all-tournament team.

High School:
Earned three letters in softball at Carl Sandburg High School ... A team captain, she earned the MVP honors and the team leader award as a senior, helping the Eagles to third-place state finish ... Summer team was the Orland Park A’s, where Angela played for coach Frank Folkens.

Personal:
The daughter of Peter and Nancy Toures, Angela was born Nov. 22, 1982 in Olympia Fields, Ill. ... Majoring in secondary education and plans on pursuing a law degree after graduating from Bradley ... Has a younger sister, Tiffany ... Has been named to Bradley Athletic Director’s roll in three of her five semesters at BU.
