Biography

Overview: A three-year starter in center field, she sat out the 2003 season following shoulder surgery prior to the start of the campaign ... Has started 117 games in the outfield the last three years and will likely challenge for the starting spot in centerfield again ... Also provides much needed speed in the Braves lineup ... Ranks as the team’s active career leader in runs scored and stolen bases and already owns the career record, having been hit by eight pitches in her time on The Hilltop ... Needs just five sacrifice bunts to break into Bradley’s career top five for sacrifice hits.

2006 Season (Junior): Started 21 of the 32 games she appeared in ... Let the team with two triples and set a school season record getting hit by five pitches ... Led all outfielders with a .952 fielding percentage ... Owned a .228 batting average in 57 at bats, but hit .350 with runners on base and hit .455 with runners in scoring position ... Named to the all-tournament team at the Bradley Invite after hitting .429 with four runs scored , one RBI, two stolen bases and five sacrifice bunts as she helped Bradley to the tournament title.

2005 Season (Sophomore): Played in 48 games and started 40 games in centerfield ... Hit .174 on the year and tied for fourth on the team with 14 runs scored ... Had four multi-hit games on the year ... Had three consecutive multi-hit games, going 6-for-10 with five runs scored during the three-game stretch ... Collected nine of her 15 hits on the season in her final 10 games, hitting .360 during that span.

2004 Season (Freshman): Made a successful return to the field ... Made 54 of her 56 starts in centerfield and was one of three players on the team to play in all 58 games ... Hit .213 and ranked fourth on the squad with 17 runs scored ... Had five mutli-hit games ... Collected her first career hit against Mississippi State and started out the season with a bang, collecting six hits and scoring five runs in her first six games.

2003 Season (Redshirt): Sat out the 2003 season after having shoulder surgery prior to the start of the spring semester.

High School: A three-sport athlete at United Township, she was a member of the cross country, basketball and softball teams ... Earned all-conference and all-regional honors as a senior, helping the Panthers to a conference title and regional championship ... Named the best defensive player on the basketball team her senior year and also earned all-conference honors in cross country as a junior and senior ... High school softball coach was Jon Alonzo ... Summer team, Heartland Havoc, was coached by Butch Woner.
