Kevin Hartseil

Central Illinois native Kevin Hartseil joined the Bradley softball coaching staff in the fall as an assistant coach. An experienced educator and coach he will assist with the Braves hitters.

A graduate of Illinois State, Hartseil earned both a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science Degree and has spent close to 20 years teaching in the Central Illinois area.

Hartseil served as the head baseball and assistant women’s basketball coach at Illinois Valley Community College during the 2004-05 school year and prior to that was the Athletic Director and Physical Education and Science teacher at Blue Ridge High School.

He began his career in education in 1982 as academic advisor, coach and counselor at Spoon River College.

After a three-year stint at Spoon River, he went on to Lincoln College where, in addition to his coaching duties, Hartseil was a teacher, admissions counselor and academic advisor over an eight-year period.

In 1993, Hartseil spent a year teaching at Morton High School before venturing into other areas before returning to the classroom in 2001 as a Junior High Science Teacher for the Peoria Public Schools in 2001.

Hartseil resides in Morton with his wife Terri and their three children Lyndsay (22), Stefanie (19) and Taylor (13).
