2010 Season (Senior): A preseason all-conference selection at designated player, she is third in school history with 15 career home runs ...  Voted the team's Most Improved Player ... Split time between first base and catcher after serving as Bradley's primary backstop her first three seasons ...  Came on late in the season, brining a career-best eight-game hit streak into the regular-season finale ... Raised her batting average nearly 80 points during her late season surge ... Ranked fifth on the team with 11 RBI ...Hit .222 in Missouri Valley Conference play ... Was second on the team with two home runs, hitting both dingers in a weekend series against Wichita State ... Did not commit an error in Valley play on 72 chances ... Ranked second on the team with nine RBI in Valley play ... Joined Brittany Mynsberge as the only players in program history with two seasons with six or more home runs.

2009 Season (Junior): Saw her batting average and power numbers climb from her sophomore season ... Was second on the team in homers (6), RBI (21) and slugging percentage (.441), while ranking third in batting average (.252) ... Hit .322 with runners on base and was second on the squad with six two-out RBI ... Drove in two or more runs five times and had four multi-hit outings ... Started 27 games at catcher and 16 at designated player ... Belted four of her six home runs from the #5 spot in the lineup and her six homers on the year is tied for seventh among BU season marks ... Belted a solo home run in Bradley's 2-0 victory against Creighton in the championship game of the MVC Tournament ... Drove in the game-winning run in a 3-2 eight-inning win against Northern Iowa in the opening round of the MVC Tournament ... Went 3-for-7 with two homers, six RBI and two walks in the regular-season series against Missouri State ... Drove in 10 runs in the final 11 games, including BU's only run in the NCAA Tournament game at Missouri.

2008 Season (Sophomore): After missing the entire 2007 season, Vitale returned to the field and started 24 games behind the plate for the Braves ... Also made five starts at designated player and one at third base ... Ranked third on the team with nine RBI and was second on the team with 133 putouts ... Tied for the team lead with a .333 batting average with runners in scoring position and was a .267 hitter with runners on base ... Had four multi-hit games ... Went 2-for-3 with a double, homer and three RBI in the first game of a doubleheader against Evansville.

2007 Season (Redshirt):  After being named to the preseason all-MVC team at designated player, torn ligaments in her thumb forced Vitale to miss the entire year with a medical redshirt.

2006 Season (Freshman):  Started out slow, seeing action in just seven of the first 23 games of the year, but ended strong, hitting .368 (21-for-57) with four doubles, six homers, 11 RBI and a .772 slugging percentage over the final 25 games of the year ... Finished the season with a .343 batting average with 11 of her 23 hits going for extra bases ... Started 24 of the 30 games she played in ... Her six homers are the second most by a BU freshman and is tied for the fifth best season total in school history ... Boasted a .323 batting average in MVC games ... Smashed her first career home run against Loyola ... Delivered an RBI single and a two-run homer in Bradley's 8-5 victory over Illinois ... Crushed five of her six home runs in road games, with the lone exception coming against the Illini in a game played in East Peoria at the EastSide Centre.

High School: Helped lead Lyons Township to a sectional title as a senior ... Earned all-conference honors each of her final three seasons and was named the team MVP her senior year ... Hit .434 as a senior and threw out 21 base runners ... Belted three home runs and drove in 23 runs, while owning a .686 slugging percentage in her final prep season ... Selected as one of the top 100 players in the Chicagoland area ... Earned all-area honors in her final season ... Also earned letters in volleyball (four years) and basketball.

Personal: The daughter of Deborah and Michael Vitale, Jacqueline was born in Oak Park, Ill. ... One of three children, she has an older sister Lauren and brother Jonathan ... Majored in elementary education ... Named to the Bradley Athletic Director's Honor Roll four times.
