2012 Season (Senior): One of three players to start all 51 games, she led the team in hits (51), runs (31) and stolen bases (18) ... Was second on the team with a .291 batting average ... Collected hits in 12 of the final 15 games ... Scored 21 of her team-best 31 runs in MVC play, to post the fourth most runs in conference action ... Her 31 runs and 18 stolen bases were the most by a BU player since 2004 ... Tied for fourth in the MVC in steals ... The 31 runs is tied for the 10th best season total in school history and her 18 steals are tied for sixth among Bradley season marks ... Led the team with 16 multi-hit games and owned a team-best six-game hit streak ... Finished her career 10th in school history in games played and runs scored (79), giving her the most career runs by a Bradley individual in the last 11 years ... Was thrown out stealing just once in her career and finished her playing days sixth at Bradley with 35 career stolen bases ... Hit .328 with runners on base.
2011 Season (Junior): Converted from a right handed hitter to a lefty slap hitter and hit ... Hit nearly 160 points higher, finishing the year second on the team with a .335 average ... Earned all-tournament honors at the Troy Classic ... Named Bradley Scholar-Athlete of the Week for the week of the Feb. 23 ... Hit .382 with runners on base ... Led the team with 26 runs scored and was fifth on the squad with a career-best 13 RBI ... Stole 10 bases ... Had a team-leading 17 multi-hit games, including six outings with three hits ... Had a career-best 11-game hit streak late in the year ... Boasted a .516 average through the first nine games of the season ... Made 33 starts in right field and 15 in left.
2010 Season (Sophomore): Settled into her role in the outfield, starting 38 games (34 in right field) ... Named Bradley Scholar-Athlete of the Week for the week of Feb. 17 after going 4-for-10 with one run scored the three RBI in the opening weekend ... Went 2-for-4 with a home run, two RBI and three runs scored to highlight a 12-11 win at Drake ... Was 3-for-3 with two runs and two RBI against preseason Horizon League favorite Cleveland State ... Drove in three runs and went 2-for-3 in a win against Bryant.
2009 Season (Freshman): Started games at first base, third base, shortstop and right field before settling into her role as the team's designated player ... Was third on the team with 16 base on balls ... Scored the winning run in Bradley's 1-0 win against DePaul in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament ... Helped the team to a 13-5 record when she was in the lineup as the designated player ... Tied for second on the squad with five stolen bases ... Went 2-for-3 with one walk and a run scored in BU's 1-0 NCAA victory against DePaul.
High School: Named the team MVP at Stagg High School as a senior after hitting .422 ... Earned second-team all-state honors in her final prep season and was a two-time all-conference pick ... Helped the Chargers to three consecutive regional championships ... A three-year starter at second base, she hit .313 as a junior ... Earned three letters in basketball, helping Stagg to a regional championship in 2007.
Personal: The daughter of Edward and Lois Sherman, Julie was born in Berwyn, Ill. ... Has two siblings: Edward and Jennifer ... Majored in accounting ... Played with fellow classmate Jackie Roth at Stagg High School and for the Beverly Bandits Gold.
