2018-19 SEASON
Indoor: Earned All-Valley honors in the distance medley relay for the third-straight season • Member of the second and third-fastest DMRs in school history as the Braves posted a time of 9:45.29 at Notre Dame and 9:57.48 in a runner-up finish at the MVC Championship • Also placed fifth at the conference meet in the 800m run • Set the school record in the 600m run with a time of 1:19.89 at Indiana, while posting the second-fastest 800m in BU history with a mark of 1:51.20 at Notre Dame.
Outdoor: Received all-conference honors in the 4x400 relay as Bradley placed third at the MVC Championship with a school-record time of 3:16.49 • Also advanced to the finals of the 800m run at the conference meet, placing sixth overall • Ran the third-fastest 800m in BU history at Illinois, crossing the finish line in 1:50.98.
2017-18 SEASON
Indoor: Member of the Missouri Valley Conference Champion team in the distance medley relay, winning his second-straight title in the event • Also ran the nation’s 17th-fastest DMR time in 2018, running the 400m leg at Notre Dame’s Alex Wilson Invitational in a team time of 9:32.31 – nearly 30 seconds off the previous BU record and the fastest time in the Valley in nine years • Placed fourth at the MVC Championship as an individual in the 800m run • Set school records in the 400m at the Iowa State Classic (48.26) and in the 600m at the Illinois Open (1:21.74) • Set a PR in the 800m at the Meyo Invitational in 1:52.35 – the second-best time in school history.
Outdoor: Registered the fourth-best time in school history in the 800m run with a time of 1:51.37 at the Drake Relays • Won his only race in the 400m at the EIU Big Blue Classic in 48.91 • Also ran the 1,500m at Southern Illinois in 4:13.06.
2016-17 SEASON
Indoor: Won his first Missouri Valley Conference Championship, teaming to claim the distance medley relay crown • Ran the 400m leg of the title race as Bradley clocked a school-record of 10:02.07 to win the championship • Also set the school marks in the 200m and 400m dash during the season • Broke his own record in the 400m at the Gladstein Invitational with a time of 48.52 • Twice set the 200m dash record, breaking a mark that had stood since 1988, establishing a time of 22.20 as the new Bradley standard at the Meyo Invitational • Added a PR time of 7.18 in the 60m dash at the Illini Classic.
Outdoor: Advanced to the finals of the 400m dash at the MVC Championship, placing seventh overall • Posted a season-best time of 47.97 in the preliminary round of the championship • Set PRs in the 100m and 200m dashes at the Redbird Invitational, clocking times of 11.23 and 22.10.
2015-16 SEASON
Indoor: Broke the 1980 indoor school record in the 400m at the Gladstein Invitational in his first outing at that distance and improved it to 49.36 seconds later in the year at the Meyo Invitational • Won the 600m at the EIU Friday Night Special • Part of a fifth-place distance medley relay team at the MVC Indoor Championship, which posted the second-best time in school history.
Outdoor: Started the outdoor season with a second-place finish in the 400m at the Bill Cornell Spring Classic • Took second in the 400m at the Redhawk Invitational • Capped the year in the final of the 400m at the MVC Outdoor Championship with second-best time in school history (47.71 seconds).
HIGH SCHOOL
Took second in the state in the 400 meters as a senior and was a two-time state qualifier in the event • Earned team MVP honors as a senior • Two-time conference champion in the 400 meters • Also lettered in football all four years, earning all-conference honors • Helped the Irish to a conference championship and IHSA Class 6A semifinal appearance his final prep season.
PERSONAL
The son of Gary Shadid and Judy Sullivan, David was born in Peoria, Ill. • Five siblings – Peter, Jack, Grace, Michael and Gabriel • Cousins, Andy and Luke, are members of the Bradley baseball team • Majoring in communications television arts.
