Junior (2011-12): One of two individuals to place in the team's top five in each of six meets ... Was the team's top finisher at the Notre Dame Invitational and the NCAA Regional ... Finished eighth at the season-opening Bradley Open and was 22nd at the Illinois Intercollegiates ... Placed 37th at the MVC Championship ... Ran a career-best 8K time of 25:39 at the Illinois Intercollegiates ... Owned the second-best times on the squad in the 3,000 meters, 5,000 meters and 10,000 meters.

Sophomore (2010-11): Missed the season opener, but returned to run in the final five meets ... Improved his 8K time in each of his first three outings ... Clocked a career-best 8K time of 26:16 at the Bradley Classic ... Was the team's top finisher at the MVC Championship ... Finished third on the squad at the NCAA Regional.

Freshman (2009-10): Was Bradley's top finisher at the MVC Championship, finishing 27th (27:48) ... Ran a season-best 8K time of 26:25 in his first competition at Western Illinois ... Was the second Brave to cross the line at the 2009 NCAA Regional.

Prep Overview: Richards ran both cross country and track at Streator Township (Ill.) High School ... Earned three cross country letters and was a two-time individual conference champ and all-state performer ... Ran track for four seasons and finished fourth in the 3,200M at the state meet ... Named 2009 math student of the year at Streator Township.

Personal: The son of Jeffery and Julie Richards, Jon has two sisters, Angela and Annie ... Majoring in engineering.
