Marc Lowe

A 20-year coaching veteran, Marc Lowe is in his third season at Bradley and is the most experienced coach on the Braves coaching staff.

“Marc brings a great deal of experience and knowledge of the game to our staff,” head coach Paula Buscher said.  “He has very strong recruiting ties to the Midwest and his great character and commitment to excellence will help us continue to improve.”

His connection to junior colleges has paid dividends with the Braves bringing in six junior college transfers over the last two years.

Lowe came to The Hilltop after spending the previous five years as an assistant coach on the men’s basketball staff at Missouri-Rolla.

A 1987 graduate of Missouri Valley College, Marc was a member of the men’s basketball team at Fort Scott Community College in Fort Scott, Kan.  From there he headed north to Alaska Anchorage where he was a two-year member of the Seawolves squad from 1984-86.

Lowe returned to the Midwest in 1987 to finish up his degree and also embarked on his coaching career at Missouri Valley College.  He served as assistant varsity men’s basketball coach and was also head coach of the junior varsity team.

From there he went back north to serve as assistant men’s basketball coach at The University of Alaska Anchorage, where he was part of the Great Alaska Shootout committee in addition to his assistant coaching duties.

A two-year stint as assistant men’s basketball coach at Allen County Community College followed his two year tenure at Alaska Anchorage for the 1993-94 season.  Lowe also served as interim head coach for the women’s basketball team during the 1994-95 season.

From there he went on to become an assistant coach with the men’s basketball team at nearby Western Illinois.  Lowe assisted with recruiting and scouting opponents in addition to coordinating camps and the team’s strength and conditioning program while with the Leathernecks.

In 2000, he joined the men’s basketball staff at the University of Missouri-Rolla, where he handled team travel and monitored the student-athletes’ academic progress in addition to his recruiting and scouting responsiblities.

A native of Topeka, Kan., he resides in Peoria with his daughter Madison.
