Overview

The most experienced player on the roster, Krumwiede is the team’s active career leader in scoring and redounding ... Has led the team in rebounding each of her three seasons and needs 181 rebounds to become the sixth player in school history with 700 career boards ... Is one of 14 players in program history with 600 points and 500 rebounds in a Bradley uniform ... Has started 49 games over the last two seasons and will be one of the Braves top players as she takes on a bigger role in the Braves offense ... One of two returning players to rank in the top 10 in the MVC in both rebounding and field goal percentage.

 

2007-08 (Junior)

Named an honorable mention Missouri Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete ... Struggled in non-conference play, averaging 5.8 points and 4.3 rebounds per game, but turned things around in Missouri Valley Conference play where she averaged team highs of 10.3 points and 7.3 rebounds while shooting 50.7 percent from the field ... Averaged 10.1 points and 7.9 rebounds per game over the final 15 games of the season ... Was eighth in the Missouri Valley Conference in rebounding ... Recipient of the MVC’s Good Neighbor Award ... Ranked third on the team in scoring (8.4 ppg) and led the squad in rebounding (6.2 rpg) for the third consecutive year ... Turned in three double-doubles and reached double figures in scoring 13 times ... Named Bradley’s Scholar-Athlete of the Week for the week of Jan. 9 ... Scored a season-best 18 points at Creighton, hitting 7-of-11 shots and also snagged nine rebounds ... 2006-07 (Sophomore)

Started each of the first 21 games of the season, before coming off the bench in the final 10 games of the year ... Opened the season strong, putting up five double-doubles in the first 10 games of the season while averaging 13.7 points and 8.2 rebounds per game during that stretch ... Also shot nearly 59 percent from the field (53-for-90) during the first 10 games of the year ... Finished the season sixth on the team in scoring (7.4 ppg) and led the team in rebounding (6.2 rpg) and field goal percentage (.467) ... Posted six double-doubles on the season, including a 20-point, 10-rebound effort against Loyola ... Scored in double figures in each of the first four games, averaging 15.3 points, while hitting 24-of-33 shots from the field (72.7 percent) ... Had seven double-digit rebounding efforts and hauled down eight boards or more 11 times ... Reached double figures in scoring 10 times ... Ranked fifth in the Missouri Valley Conference in offensive rebounding, hauling down 2.61 per game and was eighth in the Valley in rebounding at 6.2 boards per game.

 

2005-06 (Freshman)

Played in all but one game and started six times as a true freshman ... Opened her career with a bang, scoring 22 points and grabbing six rebounds in the season opener ... Her 22 points were the most by a Bradley freshman in a season-opener since Judy Burns scored 23 points to begin the 1981-82 season ... Earned MVC Newcomer of the Week honors after averaging 11.5 points, 14.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.5 steals per game in a pair of home games ... Hauled down a season-high 17 rebounds against Indiana State to go along with her 14 points for her first career double-double ... Led the team in total rebounds (142) and offensive rebounds (71), while ranking sixth in the MVC in offensive boards per game (2.63) ... Ranked fifth on the team in scoring at 6.1 points per game ...Averaged 8.2 points and 6.4 rebounds per game in the first 16 games of the season, but fell off toward the end of the year, averaging 3.2 points and 3.6 rebounds per game in the final 11 games she appeared in ... Scored in double figures five times and scored eight or more points on nine occasions ... Followed up her 22-point effort in the season opener with an eight-point, seven-rebound, five-assist performance in a double-overtime victory against Valparaiso.

 

High School

The all-time leading rebounder in Glenbard West High School history, Kelly scored 1,466 points during career as a Hilltopper ... Earned first-team All-State honors from the Champaign News-Gazette and second-team All-State from the Illinois Basketball Coaches’ Association ... Also took home third-team All-State recognition from the Associated Press ... Was named the Female Athlete of the Year following her senior year, when she averaged a double-double with averages of 18.6 points and 11.7 rebounds ... Shot 60 percent from the field as a senior and 71 percent from the free throw line, while averaging 2.3 assists and 2.8 steals per game ... Named captain of the Daily Herald All-Area Team and was also named to the Chicago Sun-Times All-Area squad following the 2004-05 season ... Helped the Hilltoppers to a 24-8 overall record and regional championship in her final season of prep basketball ... Was a three-time West Suburban Conference selection and earned academic all-conference honors as a senior ... As a junior she played all five positions for Glenbard West and averaged 14.4 points, 8.0 rebounds, 3.6 steals and 3.2 assists per game ... She also earned three varsity letters in volleyball.

The daughter of Karen and Bob Ekman and Jim and Judi Krumwiede, Kelly was born December 7, 1986 in Downers Grove, Ill. ... The oldest of three children, she has two younger brothers; Brad (19) and Kyle (18) in addition to two step sisters: Jennifer (27) and Lindsay (25) ... Member of the Braves Council, the student-athlete advisory committee ... Majoring in business management and administration with minors in spanish and marketing ... Named to the Bradley Athletic Director’s Honor Roll after each of her six semesters on The HIlltop.
