Biography

AT BRADLEY (2021-22)
•  Sasha Koenig’s first career points came on a 3-pointer Dec. 6, 2021 at South Dakota, a corner trey assisted by her sister, Tatum Koenig.
•  Battled a lower leg injury through the first half of the season, forcing her to miss 13 of the first 16 games.
•  After missing the previous nine games, Koenig returned to action in a limited minutes scenario Jan. 27 against Drake and came off the bench in each of the last 12 games of the 2021-22 season.


HIGH SCHOOL
•  The 2020-21 Gazette Player of the Year, Koenig earned first-team all-state honors as a senior after collecting 20.6 points, 4.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 3.1 steals and helping West Branch to a 21-2 record and state tournament appearance .
•  Averaged 19.5 points, 7.1 assists and 4.5 steals per game as a junior during a 21-4 season for the Bears that included a conference title and state tournament quarterfinals appearance.
•  Finished her career with 1,445 career points.
•  Koenig earned a total of 10 varsity letters in high school, including four as a track runner and two as a softball student-athlete.
•  A member of five relays that qualified for the Iowa state meet, including a pair of shuttle hurdle relays that earned third-place medals.

PERSONAL
•  The daughter of Nikki and Brad Koenig, Sasha was born Aug. 18, 2002 in Iowa City, IA.
•  Has three siblings: Cooper, Tatum (also played at Bradley 2018-22) and Peter.
•  Her mother played softball and volleyball at Mount Mercy and her brother, Cooper, was part of the track & field team at Iowa.
