Brad Chandler, Deputy Athletics Director at Bradley University Athletics, joined the department’s senior leadership team in June 2021 following his tenure at Arizona State University, where he represented the Sun Devil Department of Intercollegiate Athletics within the University Office of General Counsel.
Since his arrival, Chandler has played a central role in driving sustained revenue growth and operational advancement within Bradley Athletics. The department has achieved three consecutive years of double-digit increases in total athletics revenue during his tenure. After assuming leadership of the department’s fundraising efforts in 2024, he helped deliver a record-setting increase in Bradley Scholarship Society (BSS) donors in 2024–25 and contributed to overall fundraising growth of 14 percent and 21 percent over the past two years. He has also been actively involved in the development and execution of name, image and likeness (NIL) initiatives, including assisting with revenue-sharing strategies and contract negotiations with student-athletes and their representatives. In addition, Chandler has played a key role in departmental continuity and growth, contributing to nine head coaching searches.
Chandler helps shape the strategic and operational direction of Bradley Athletics, with broad oversight of key administrative and revenue-generating units while assisting in the day-to-day management of the department. He leads the department’s revenue generation strategy and serves as the primary liaison to external partners, including Bradley Sports Properties, Learfield Amplify, and Under Armour. He also oversees internal operations, including the business office and athletics compliance, and serves as sport administrator for multiple programs.
Chandler brings a strong legal and compliance background to his executive role, with prior experience at The Ohio State University Athletics and Rutgers University Athletics. His career in intercollegiate athletics began at University of Toledo Athletics, where he served in the compliance office as both an intern and graduate assistant.
A graduate of Michigan State University with a degree in finance, Chandler earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Toledo College of Law. Chandler is an active member of the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA). He has served as a guest lecturer for multiple institutions, including Arizona State University Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law, the University of Baltimore School of Law, and Madonna University, and has further contributed to the academic space as an adjunct instructor in business school, teaching coursework in law.
Chandler and his wife, Kara, reside in Dunlap, Illinois, with their daughter, Waverly.
