Cody Roder enters his second season as a track & field assistant coach, specializing in sprints, hurdles and jumps. Roder joined Bradley prior to the 2024-25 season after spending two seasons as a volunteer assistant coach at North Dakota State. Â
Roder's first season saw some of the best sprint times in program history. Senior Amiyah Davis rewrote the record book during the track & field season, setting the indoor 200m (24.83), indoor 400m (54.47) and outdoor 400m (54.24) program records. Freshmen Carolina Martinez and Julia de Palma followed suit, setting multiple top times in sprints and hurdles. Roder tutored three athletes and relay teams to All-Conference honors, the most since 2022.
Roder joined the Bison staff after concluding his collegiate career at NDSU in 2022. During his two-season tenure, Coach Roder worked with the sprints/hurdles group at NDSU with coaches Stevie Keller and Reece Vega. NDSUhad the #10 Women's 100M Hurdle group and #11 400M Hurdle group in the NCAA in 2023.

As an athlete, Roder spent three seasons at North Dakota State after transferring from the University of North Dakota prior to the 2018-19 season. He graduated as the best 400m runner in school history, holding multiple top times in program history. He advanced to the national quarterfinals in the 400m dash with a personal and school record of 46.18 in 2022, and he owns the three fastest 400m dash times in NDSU history – 46.18, 46.22, and 46.27. He earned honorable mention All-America honors in the 4x400m relay as a senior in 2022, anchoring the Bison to 18th place at the national meet in a school record 3:05.24. He clocked a career-best split of 45.13 at the NCAA Championships.
