Garrett Belding enters his first season as an assistant coach for Bradley Baseball.
Belding comes to Bradley after five years at Louisiana Tech, where he spent time as both a student assistant and the Director of Player Development. He joined the Bulldogs after transferring from Eastfield College and became a student assistant after his first fall with the program. He served in that role for two seasons before graduating in 2023 and being elevated to Director of Player Development, a position he held from 2023 to 2026.
During his time at Louisiana Tech, Belding worked directly with the infielders and assisted with the offense as the Bulldogs established themselves as one of the top programs in Conference USA. Louisiana Tech won the 2022 CUSA Tournament Championship and advanced to the Austin Regional, then later captured a CUSA regular-season title and earned a berth in the Fayetteville Regional.
Belding helped coach several MLB Draft selections, all-conference honorees and a Conference USA Freshman of the Year during his time with the Bulldogs. He also worked with standout second baseman Mike Ballard, who was named a Gold Glove finalist.
Before arriving at Louisiana Tech, Belding played junior college baseball at Eastfield College in Mesquite, Texas, from 2020 to 2021, where he was a middle infielder.
A native of Frisco, Texas, Belding attended Prestonwood Christian Academy and graduated in 2019.
