Jacques Wells, joined the Bradley Athletics staff as the Senior Associate Athletics Director for Business Strategy in January 2025 from the University of Akron after serving as the Associate Athletic Director for Business.
In this role, Wells had direct oversight of the athletics department’s operating budget which included proposing and monitoring sport specific budgets, preparing budget analysis reports and handling all day-to-day business operations. He also assisted with compiling financial reports for the NCAA and EADA and served as an adjunct professor in the School of Business.
Prior to Akron, Wells spent one academic year at his alma mater, Columbus State University from June of 2021 to May of 2022 as the Assistant Athletic Director of Business.
Wells began his career as the Assistant Director for Operations and Camps at Agnes Scott in 2018. In that role, he oversaw day-to-day business and facility operations, including revenue generation, contractual agreements with the Atlanta Dream and capital projects.
The Bridgeport, Conn. native gained experience as a graduate assistant for internal and external operations. He is a double graduate of CSU, earning his bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and his master’s in Public Administration in 2018. He was also a member of the men’s basketball team.
Wells is a member of CABMA (Collegiate Athletics Business Management Association), MOAA (Minority Opportunities in Athletic Administration) and active participant of the Dr. Charles Whitcomb Leadership Institute.
