He logged seven multi-hit games, seven multi-RBI performances, and was named to the SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll.
Before arriving at Mizzou, Garcia started all 57 games for Bethune-Cookman in 2022, batting .310 with 74 hits, 36 RBIs, and four home runs. He tallied three-hit games on three separate occasions and recorded multiple two-homer performances. Garcia also played one season at Chipola College in 2021, where he hit .310 with 54 hits and 17 RBIs while earning First Team All-Panhandle honors and recognition from Prep Baseball Report as one of the top 50 JUCO players to watch.
Garcia began his college career at Bethune-Cookman in 2020, starting 18 games as a true freshman and earning D1Baseball.com’s nod as the preseason MEAC Freshman of the Year. He gained additional experience with the Chatham Anglers in the Cape Cod Baseball League and the Valley Blue Sox of the NECBL.
A native of Puerto Rico, Garcia moved to the U.S. at age 12 and starred at Avant Garde Academy in Florida, where he captained his team to a 28–6 record as a senior and hit .398 over his prep career. He earned his degree in general studies.
