Matthew Schiferl enters his first season as an assistant coach for Bradley Volleyball, bringing a strong foundation in both coaching and collegiate playing experience.

Prior to joining Bradley, Schifrel served as the assistant women’s volleyball coach at Judson University in 2024. In 2023, he was an assistant men’s volleyball coach at Adrian College, where he helped guide the program to its most successful season in school history. His coaching career began at Adversity Volleyball Club in 2021, where he led the 16U team and contributed to junior athlete development.

As a player, Schifrel competed at Augustana College from 2017 to 2021. He was a three-time all-conference selection and still holds the program’s single-season record for digs. His experience as a high-level collegiate athlete adds valuable insight to his coaching approach, particularly in technical training, player development, and match preparation.
