SPRINGFIELD, MO – Undefeated Missouri State came into Saturday's game leading the Missouri Valley Conference in scoring.  Bradley did not let any of the Bears score, but an own goal in the 48th minute kept the host Bears (7-0-3, 2-0-1 MVC) unbeaten Saturday night at Allison South Stadium.

Continuing a possession that started with a corner kick, Missouri State sent a cross in from the right endline.  Bradley forward Gerit Wintermeyer attempted to clear the cross at the near post, but his header found the back of Bradley's defensive net for the game's lone score at 47:49.

The second half goal came in an otherwise uneventful stanza.  Missouri State outshot the Braves, 3-2, in the final 45 minutes to finish with a 9-7 edge in shots.  Bradley put five of its seven shots on target, but Bears keeper Michael Creek finished with five saves to record the shutout.

After starting the season unbeaten through seven games (5-0-2) to extend an overall 12-game unbeaten run dating back to last October, Bradley now has gone winless (0-3-1) in its last four games.  The Braves will look to snap the skid Saturday when they host Valley rival Valparaiso in a 7 p.m. kickoff at Shea Stadium.
