PEORIA, Ill. -- Creighton reserve guard Kellen Miliner scored 10 of his team-high 15 points in the second half and the Bluejays (13-7, 5-4) rode a hot start to the second half to a 74-65 Missouri Valley Conference men's basketball victory at Bradley (11-6, 4-5) Wednesday night, ending the Braves' 15-game home winning streak.

Each member of Creighton's starting backcourt trio also scored in double figures for the Bluejays: Nate Funk and Johnny Mathies each scored 13 points and Tyler McKinney narrowly missed a double-double with 11 points and nine assists. Bradley junior guard Tony Bennett led the Braves with 17 points and junior forward Marcellus Sommerville added 14 points and a team-high four assists.

In a first-half that saw eight ties and eight lead changes, Bradley finally had the advantage at the break, 34-31, primarily by converting 10 first-half offensive rebounds into eight second-chance points. Bradley's first-half effort also was aided by a cold start from Funk, who entered the game averaging 21.0 points in his last five games, but managed only two free throws in the first 20 minutes.

Including three 3-pointers from Funk in the first 4:10 of the second half, Creighton sank nine of its first 13 field goal attempts to start the second half. The Bluejays also turned three offensive rebounds following those four misses into four points en route to a 59-49 lead when Jimmy Motz drained a 3-pointer with 8:57 remaining.

Bradley managed to pull within four points, 62-55, on a Bennett putback with 7:26 remaining, but Miliner answered with a 3-pointer on Creighton's next possession and the Braves could pull no closer than five points the rest of the way.

Bradley, which fell to 10-1 at home this season, will try to earn its first Valley road win of the season Saturday when the Braves visit Indiana State in a 1:05 p.m. (CST) start at the Hulman Center.
