CHICAGO, Ill. -- Senior Briony Hammet had a team-high 11 kills to lead three Bradley players in double figures in kills, but Loyola proved to be too much as the Ramblers defeated the Braves 30-24, 30-13, 20-30, 30-25, Tuesday night in Chicago, Ill.
Missouri Valley Conference kills leader Lindsay Stalzer was limited to just five kills in just three games and Bradley hit just .171 on the night as the Braves fell to 11-8 overall with the loss.
Hammet led the Braves with 11 kills and 11 digs for her third double-double of the season. Junior Amber DeBroux and sophomore Jenna Harrison were also in double figures with 10 kills each, while senior Gillian Falknor had a team-best 18 digs on the evening.
Loyola hit a combined .338 in the first two games and cruised to an early 2-0 lead as the Ramblers claimed the first two games 30-24 and 30-13.
Bradley hit .389 in game three as four Braves posted three or more kills as Harrison and junior Kelly Niemeyer each had four kills in the game.
The Braves hit .073 in game four, however, as Loyola posted a 30-25 win to close out the match.
Loyola had four players reach double figures in kills, and were led by Courtney Ashley's 14 kills. The Ramblers improved to 5-12 overall with the win.
Bradley returns to action Friday when the Braves play host to league-leading Wichita State at 7 p.m. at Robertson Memorial Field House.
