ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- Senior Lindsay Stalzer (Kewanee, Ill./Kewanee) was named the Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Week for the third time in the last four weeks, according to announcement by the league office Monday afternoon.

The first three-time Valley Player of the Week honoree in program history, Stalzer averaged 7.00 kills and 2.62 digs per game, while hitting .350 in a pair of Bradley victories. She set a school record with 36 kills, to go along with 14 digs, in the Braves five-game victory at DePaul. The 36 kills tied for the second-best mark in Missouri Valley Conference history, second only to Bobbi Becker's 40 kills.

Stalzer followed up her record-setting performance against DePaul with her seventh consecutive outing with 20 or more kills in a three-game sweep of Northern Iowa. She finished with 20 kills and hit .364 against the Panthers, helping Bradley sweep UNI for the first time since 1984. Stalzer climbed up three spots on the Valley's career kills list into 14th place during the week and now has 1,581 career kills.

Northern Iowa's Molly O'Brien was the last Valley player to earn Player of the Week three times or more in the same season, capturing the honor five times in 2002. Stalzer currently ranks among the national leaders and leads the MVC with a 5.69 kills per game average, including a 6.53 kills per game average against Valley opponents.

Stalzer and the Braves return to action Friday when they face Indiana State at 7 p.m. in Terre Haute, Ind.
