2005 NCAA Men's Soccer Tournament

First Round

The 2005 NCAA Tournament will kick off Friday with first-round action for 32 teams.  As one of 25 at-large invitees, Bradley will host Horizon League Tournament champion Wisconsin-Milwaukee in a 7 p.m. contest at Shea Stadium.  Friday's game will be a rematch of a regular-season meeting between the two teams, which the Panthers won (3-2) Sept. 13 in Milwaukee.  The winner of Friday's first-round game in Peoria will visit the tournament's No. 2 overall seed New Mexico (15-1-2) Tuesday in Albuquerque.

Audio Broadcasts

The Bradley Sports Information Office has produced live audio broadcasts for all Bradley Soccer home games during the 2005 season and will broadcast Friday's game at www.bubraves.com.

 

Tickets

Tickets for the 2005 NCAA Tournament first round game at Shea Stadium are $5 for adults and $2 for youth (K-12) and seniors.  Bradley University students will receive free admission to the NCAA Tournament game, courtesy of the Chiefs Club, by presenting their valid University IDs at the Shea Stadium ticket windows. All seating is general admission.  Tickets may be purchased at the Shea Stadium Ticket Office beginning one hour prior to the start of Friday's game, or Monady-Friday at the Robertson Fieldhouse Ticket Office.

 

Parking is $2 and will be charged upon entering the main parking lot adjacent to Shea Stadium.

 

Directions to Shea Stadium

Shea Stadium is located less than one mile from the Bradley University campus at 1523 W. Nebraska Avenue in Peoria, Illinois.

 

From Chicago

?         Take I-55 South to I-74 West in Bloomington-Normal.

?         Take I-74 West through downtown Peoria.

?         Exit I-74 West at the University Street North exit (91B).

?         After exiting the interstate, get into the far left lane in preparation for a left turn at the first traffic light (Nebraska Avenue).

?         Turn left onto Nebraska Avenue and the primary Shea Stadium parking area will be located one block ahead on the left.

From Rockford, Ill.

?         Take I-39 South to Highway 116

?         Take Highway 116 to US 24 in East Peoria, Ill.

?         Take US 24 West across the Illinois River into Peoria, where the road becomes Highway 150/War Memorial Drive.

?         Continue west on War Memorial Drive approximately 2 miles to University Street.

?         Turn left onto University Street and continue south approximately 1.5 miles to Nebraska Avenue.

?         Turn right onto Nebraska Avenue and the primary Shea Stadium parking area will be located one block ahead on the left.

  

From St. Louis

?         Travel north on Interstate 55 to Interstate 155 in Lincoln, Ill.

?         Take the left exit ramp onto Interstate 155 North and continue north to Interstate 74 in Morton, Illinois.

?         Take the left exit onto I-74 West and continue west through downtown Peoria.

?         Exit I-74 West at the University Street North exit (91B).

?         After exiting the interstate, get into the far left lane in preparation for a left turn at the first traffic light (Nebraska Avenue).

?         Turn left onto Nebraska Avenue and the primary Shea Stadium parking area will be located one block ahead on the left.

 

From Indianapolis/Bloomington-Normal

?         Take I-74 West through downtown Peoria.

?         Exit I-74 West at the University Street North exit (91B).

?         After exiting the interstate, get into the far left lane in preparation for a left turn at the first traffic light (Nebraska Avenue).

?         Turn left onto Nebraska Avenue and the primary Shea Stadium parking area will be located one block ahead on the left.

 

From the Quad Cities

?         Take I-74 East to Peoria, Illinois.

?         Exit I-74 at University Street (Exit 91).

?         At the top of the exit ramp, turn left onto University Street and continue north across I-74.

?         Get into the far left lane in preparation for a left turn at the first traffic light (Nebraska Avenue).

?         Turn left onto Nebraska Avenue and the primary Shea Stadium parking area will be located one block ahead on the left.
