Women?s Golf Finishes 12th At Miccosukee Championship

MIAMI, Fla. -- Senior Agnes Kim tied a season-low with a 75 Tuesday, but the Bradley women's golf team slipped two spots to finish 12th in the 18-team field at the fourth annual Miccosukee Women's Golf Championship at the Miccosukee Country Club in Miami, Fla.

Bradley entered the day alone in 10th place, but fired a 321 on the day to finish the tournament alone in 10th place with a three-round total of 960. Maryland and Central Florida both passed the Braves in final day action, finishing three shots ahead of Bradley at 957 in a tie for 10th place.

Kim posted her second top-20 finish of the season, after tying a season-low with a final round 75 to highlight Tuesday's action. Kim finished with a three-round total of 231 to tie for 13th place, marking her highest finish of the year. Junior After shooting rounds of 79 and 76 during first day action, junior Meaghan LeBlanc slipped into a tie for 41st overall at 239 after shooting 4 during the final round.

Senior Carly Sobel shot 82 Tuesday to earn a share of 56th place at 243, while freshman Rikki Sobel carded an 80 to shoot 253 to tie for 79th. Junior Whitney Bauer shot 87 during final day action to tie for 91st at 262.

Georgia State claimed the team title by eight strokes with a three-round total of 914. Washington State was second at 922, with Florida International (923), Wisconsin (933) and Colorado (934) rounded out the top five. Denver finished three shots back of Colorado at 937 and was followed by Campbell (7th - 939), Iowa State (8th - 940), Toledo (9th - 946) and Central Florida and Maryland (T10th - 957). Bradley was in 12th place at 960 and finished four shots ahead of Xavier (964). Richmond (14th - 973), Daytona Beach Community College and Memphis (983), Florida Atlantic (986) and The Citadel (1024), rounded out the field, respectively.

The tournament field included three teams rated in Golfweek's top 50 and 11 teams in the top 100.

Bradley returns to action March 3-5 at the Rio Verde Challenge in Scottsdale, Ariz.
