PEORIA, Ill. -- Senior middle blocker Lindsay Stalzer (Kewanee, Ill./Kewanee) collected a pair of academic honors Thursday as she was named the Prairie Farms Missouri Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete of the Week in addition to also being selected as the Bradley Country Insurance & Financial Services Scholar-Athlete of the Week.

Stalzer, who earlier this week was named the Missouri Valley Conference Volleyball Player of the Week, helped the Braves to a 3-1 record last week and second-place finish at the Radisson Hotel Invitational at Robertson Memorial Field House. She climbed into fourth place on Bradley's all-time kills list with a 29-kill effort against Southeast Missouri State and earned all-tournament honors at the Radisson Hotel Invite after averaging 5.73 kills, 1.33 blocks and 1.53 digs per game. An engineering major, Stalzer owns a 3.30 cumulative grade point average.

Each week, a Bradley student-athlete is selected as the Country Insurance & Financial Services Scholar-Athlete of the Week. The individual chosen must be at least a sophomore in class standing and boast a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average, while displaying a level of athletic excellence.

Stalzer and the Braves open Missouri Valley Conference play this weekend when they face Creighton on Friday at 7 p.m. at the Omaha Civic Auditorium. Bradley finishes up the road swing Saturday night with a 7 p.m. match at Drake in Des Moines, Iowa.
