A junior college transfer, Pollard was a starting power forward for the Braves during the 1992-93 and 1993-94 seasons and was a key player in the Bradley's resurgence during the mid-90s. Following his collegiate basketball career, Pollard tried out for the NFL's Indianapolis Colts, where he became the longest tenured player in franchise's Indianapolis history as a 10-year tight end.
Pollard was released by the Colts after catching six of Peyton Manning's NFL record 49 touchdown passes last season and he signed a free agent contract with the Detroit Lions. Pollard began his 11th NFL season last Sunday by catching five passes for 58 yards and a touchdown.
