Lincoln, Neb. ? Junior Sarah Westrick captured her second straight top-20 finish as the Braves' cross country teams competed in Lincoln, Neb. at the Woody Greeno/Nebraska Invite on Saturday.
Westrick's time of 23:43 in the women's 6K race was good enough to 16th place in the University Division race. Once again, So. Ainslie Schultz provided the one-two punch for the Braves placing 21st overall in 24:01.
On the men's side, all five scoring runners for the Braves finished within :34 seconds of each other with So. Chris George leading the way in 27:16 in the men's 8K. George's 27th place showing was followed closely by So. Nathan Ahart's 33rd in 27:28 and Jr. Abe Ramirez' 36th in 27:41.
Pat Green and Nick Palumbo rounded out the Braves quintet in 27:48 and 27:50 respectively.
The United States Air Force Academy claimed the men's title while the host Huskers claimed the women's championship. The Bradley men's team took seventh of eight while the women's side brought home an eighth place finish in the University Division.
The cross country teams are off next weekend before traveling to Notre Dame, Ind. for the Notre Dame Invitational on September 30th.
